we left on Tues. 9/1 and here we are in Dubai on Wednesday. 16 hour flight that actually went quickly and pleasantly thanks to Emirates and Lunesta! Slept, ate, watched movies and here we are. It's strange staying in a hotel inside the secure are of an airport. Looking down from ou window we see gates. Roamed the terminal and found a sushi restaurant for dinner. Now it's time for sleep and looking ahead to our arrival in Nairobi tomorrow. ...

... around the huge lake and find a nice grassed area to have a lie down and bask in the sun.

Its 6pm and the music fires up and so does the water show. The display only lasts for 3 minutes, which is rather disappointing. The next show is at 7pm so we head back inside the mall to get a bit to eat. We return for the 7pm show and the promenade is packed to capacity. And again it only runs for 3 minutes. ... India. It made sense. He even waited for me at the Dubai Mall to take me to the airport because he said it would be hard for me to get a cab on the holiday. Anyway, I am so glad I went. ... the 7 star hotel in Dubai. Harriet and I both went on slides and had a great day. There were many, many men with a combined level of body hair that could easily re carpet the whole south east if England. I went on the really big slide which helped lead to my trunks completely ripping off my body. Luckily this happened towards the end of the day.
