... restaurant that was set up as a market, which was more confusing then it was worth... And feeling full we went back to our room! Lucky we set the alarm.. Twice... As we were deep asleep and it was so comfortable!!!! But our pick up was at 7:30am and repack and breakfast needed to be done! Breakfast was amazing! Lots of fruit, fresh juice, cheese and even 4 varieties of dates! I didn't even make it to the pastry section - a rarity for me!!! And now here we are waiting to ...

... some random chiliean who jumped infront of us in the que. He paid and as we were on his way to where he was going. I think he was maybe on something though as he said saw white rabbits on the grass on beach road... We had a fair couple of drinks at Q43. Maybe too many as we had to ask the biy behind the bar for a glass of milk, it was a life saver. Felt great after that. Pity we couldnt play pool because you had to book a table for the night, ...

... harry, get taken for a lovely meal by mums mate marylin, have lunch and look round the insane Dubai mall with Lauren and find a cool little bar that we love.

So first impressions of Dubai.. Love it. And can't wait to go back. What i really like is no matter how glam it gets and how many big western brands are there you can really see and feel the local culture. Definately my kind of place. And the lady taxis at the airport are a cute touch too.

... on time and well used by locals and tourists. Only drawback is the length of the walk from the stations to the centres. However, it is all under cover, enclosed and airconditioned with many moving walkways. The attention to detail and well maintained infrastructure is really well done here in Dubai.

A gallop around the Dubai Mall getting Peter's phone fixed (thanks Mr Sony) but no joy on his camera which was also playing up. ...

... is on the gulf and a lot nicer buildings. Only went through Dubai customs to catch our flight to Kabul which departed at 945am. After seeing all the amazing hotels and high rises in Dubai I figured the airport would be more luxurious but it wasn't very nice. The terminal where we waited for our flight to Kabul was newly renovated, had a few restaurants, ...
