After a difficult flight time wise - left at 9pm and was only a 6 and a half hour flight - we arrived at Dubai a tired lot. Got to the hotel at about 9am local time in time for breakfast. There must have been thousands of people waiting on the side of the road, some walking amounts the gridlocked traffic to try get someone to give them a lift. The metro stations we passed were queued for miles out of the doors. We were so lucky to have found our taxi! We also visited the spice souk and the gold souk. We didn't really have enough time to shop but did get an overview.
