... in this trip so far we headed back for some goodbye drinks at the skybar. Gorgeous views of the palm and beach...perfect. Plus drinks paid for by our new found friends (one guy also from Basingstoke?! Small world!!) we were two very happy girlies with extra sore heads in the morning. Worth it ...

... and are soon at the Jumeirah Creekside Hotel that is only 5 mins from the Airport. Room is great , very modern,arty and edgy. We manage a few hours sleep and are up early to tackle breakfast. We find guests are seated by their ethnicity, Arabs over there, Asians over here and Australians, no designated area so you can join the Asians. Once again I am fascinated by the Arab women in their peek a boo head dress and how they manage to eat. Buffet breakfast was good and there was one dish ...

... of sleep in the 24 hours of traveling I've done so far. Let's just say I'm not functioning properly as I am constantly running into something and forgetting what I was going to say. Im also really craving a waffle, which sadly, is not too common here. Hopefully I'll be able to sleep on this upcoming 6 hour plane ride into Kathmandu! ... supermarket I found large cans of coke for 1.50 durham thats like 50cents which us incredible as I was charged 16durham for a small can of coke at the bar last. then this evening was amazing I went on a dinner tour in the desert which included a falconry display, dune 4wd, we saw a gazelle and an oryx, had a camel ride, held an owl, star gazed in the middle of the desert and had an arabian meal. my camera battery which had told me was full when ...

... dancing fountains and the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifah. The day finished with a few vodkas in Huddle sports bar (we may have taken some of our own in).

We finished our trip by popping to the roof to pool, at the hotel and having a subway for lunch. Finally we were ready to go on our excursion with our traditionally dressed Arabic driver. We had many photo opportunities and went 4x4 dune bashing.... awesome! ...
