Well, the big day finally arrived and we made it safely to the land of Manc... Said our goodbyes and shed some tears - Nicky more so than me... We bought the obligatory overpriced airport meal but she couldn't eat it on account of all the tears... Anyway once the floods had stopped we then boarded a flashy Emirates A380! Prettiest place we stayed at - tie between Aix-Les-Bains and Alpe d'Huez

Most annoying experience - very, very ordinary service in a number of shops and restaurants especially in Paris. This hasn't improved. I am certain some of these guys believe they are doing the customer a favour to actually serve you.

We won't be staying here again - Wishing Well Hotel, Selby, ...

... d stepped inside to ask for directions to the mall. Once we were in there, as there wasn't a single customer in sight, we felt we should eat there.
