Didn't sleep well at all: overtired and noise through a connecting door from the room next door. Plus I set my watch alarm for three thirty instead of four thirty. So Amanda was up and putting on the kettle before I realised. Oops. She had about an hour's proper sleep. The phone rang at four thirty and we were on the minibus at five. We picked up Radchanee's brother-in-law and took off for Bangkok. After about an hour we stopped at a service station with a 7/11, toilets and a ...

Sampling Condo Living in Jomtien Beach, Pattaya

... a view of the ocean be anything but?  Lounging around the pool or taking in the beachside restaurants and night life was not bad either.  The beach was okay, but far busier and crowded than beaches we generally gravitate toward. All in all, it was nice to get an idea of what condo lifestyle in Thailand could be like. Historically, Pattaya was the resort area that developed when American military personnel frequented it ...

... to start paying for stuff, tragic really.

We drove to the airport the next day to drop off their friends who were flying home. We said our goodbyes to them and then to Ann, again thanking her deeply for all her help. She still managed to help us further in sending a package back to England on our behalf. I really hope one day I can repay her for all her kindness. We drove with her husband about half an hour to the bus station. A huge storm started about half way with ...

... 7 hours stopover in Amman amongst lots of pilgrims, designing our wedding photo book, something we never had time to do so pretty happy about that. Greg and Ann picked us up in Bangkok and in a great old Merc which looked like Batmobil and drove with petrol and gas, we drove down to their house near Pattaya.

We spent two days there and had big ideas (going to the beach, swimming in the pool, visiting some gardens) but in ...

The 2 days I'd rather forget about!

    ... I liked it!

No photos of this place, it was an experience, I was warned but I didn't listen. We just wanted to get out the minute we got there! Its a shame about the weather aswell, as we were going to make the trip to Ko Samet, which looks stunning, but there was a tropical storm and everywhere close to Bangkok and central Thailand was pouring it down.

One day....we may even be able to laugh about it... <shudders at the thought>
