    Today we travelled from Moneglia to Bardolino, Lake Garda in northern Italy. We travelled through a 6 km one-way converted train tunnel to leave Moneglia. We missed the green light by 1 min and had to wait 20 mins before it was our turn!! It rained most of the 3.5 hours drive over fantastic autostrada's and it cost about €30 in tolls. Iseo next table to a group of four young Italian women when all of a sudden one started loudly berating another and followed this by throwing her drink in her face and storming off in an Italian rage.     ... It consisted of one room plus bathroom and was reminiscent of a prison cell with only one high window, large metal upward facing 'security' style lights, very little natural light and no view at all. Fortunately the owner informed us that the apartment above was free and although this was somewhat 'bijou' it was much better thus avoiding what was threatening to be a bit of a meltdown.     This part of our adventure consisted of a 56kms ride to Riva del Guarda which is the ferry port at the top of Lake Garda. The path started out flat but around Lake Loppio was fairly hilly but not for too long.
