I assumed most of these countries were highlighted because I've been meeting fellow travelers, but then I realized there are some countries here where I haven't met people from. Which means random people in random parts of the ...
Giardini Naxos, Sicily, Italy josiezim... it's definitely, definitely the Sicilian way.

But, all that said, not to be concerned. I am being safe, despite what my tales tell.

Tomorrow I was again hoping to make it to Mt. Etna with one of the many options I had researched, but no luck. It is late tourist season and they needed a group of 10 to go. An hour ago when I called to confirm if it was on, they were only at 6. Bummer. I think I may go to Stromboli instead and see that volcano. Plus, it's not like I was ...

Catania, Sicilia, Italy massimobb... might start having to get used to again) before heading to the park to try and get a view of Mount Etna through the clouds and to eat our purchases from the market. From there we made our way down to the Piazza Del Duomo, a UNESCO World Heritage site. We tried to go to the botanic gardens but this was shut and then sadly for us so was our favourite pastry shop, yes that's right we have been here a day and we already have a favourite pastry shop. Catania, Sicily, Italy doviA lovely quaint very old area. Stayed in a lovely hotel with great attentive staff would recommend it to any couple looking for a romantic break or second honeymoon. Just off the main shopping street of Corso Umberto but found that the shopping was over priced so don't go expecting any bargains.
Taormina, Sicily, Italy caseyjeanne... an emotional bunch. In fact, they pride themselves on their emotions, their passion.

This emotional bent is also apparent by the many idols – statues of Mary, churches, looming dominance of God, crosses nearly everywhere you look. A sign of devotion as part of the Italian Culture.

Refugio

We stayed at a Refuge on Mount Etna – menu scant.
Linguaglossa, Sicily, Italy broose09... a glorified throwing session. I also had to figure out how I was going to get out of next Tuesday's practice to go Spain from Monday afternoon to Thursday morning. That was stressing me out pretty good as well. The first alarm went off, and I silenced it and went back to sleep. We woke up in time to catch the continental breakfast that finished at 10, then found a café drank a beer, a liter of water, then ordered a couple pizzas. Finally we took off and eventually ...
Catania, Sicily, Italy mavsqb1... AM... Tomorrow we go on a tour, there are very few here even though this is a city of 300,000, to Mt Etna so we are looking forward to getting out of Dodge for a bit. I just haven't had the guts to rent a car or scooter since we've been in Italy and I thought sure that's what we'd do... I've never seen such driving in all my travels and of course there are few signs to go by. We rented in Greece and had no ...
