I am so far behind with this blog. Partly, it's because we have traveled every single month during 2009. There's so much to tell & show that unless I write every week, I'm always several trips behind. The other problem is ...
Naples, Campania, Italy amboughOla Kala: simply, OK (in Greek). No time for lots of flap.....we're on the go. The Vatican Museums await us (and we can hardly wait to do more walking!). Enjoy the pictures and we'll fill you in on the adventure next time I make the time to sit and gab.
We're still having a grand time!!!!!

... 6 or 7 music stores in 1 block- one of which had guitars, lutes and other stringed instruments dating back to the late 1800's.
Also discovered that the food options in Naples are a lot better than northern Italy with a lot more meat based snacks and fried snacks available to eat whilst wandering the streets.
No wonder northern Italians are so skinny and short - their food options for decent snacks are so limited compared to the south ...
... distance involved but the mountain ranges were stunning and held great promise for Naples, an area thats described as the most beautiful in the world, so we did not expect what was actually around. I guess as with all major tourist spots they have a chance of becoming tacky, but this was tacky mixed with poverty, I've honestly been to third world countries that are cleaner and felt safer, there was rubbish dumped in every available place on the roads, the shops were barred and ...
Salerno, Campania, Italy pihollandI locked myself in the bathroom tonight. I didn't mean to. But I knew something like that would happen. That tiny, but oh so necessary, room has something against me. For two days now, every time I have cleared my system it wouldn't go down. The TP and the yellow, but not the big clump that no one will miss. Oh no, I flush two or tree times, but it always stays. I end up covering it with wads of toilet paper (that may or may not be clogging the system, causing things to not go ...
Salerno, Italy emrofaCiao! We woke up this morning, very early again, and took off for the Vatican, to try and catch a glimpse of the Pope. We heard he was giving a mass, and if we got there soon enough we could get a place to watch it as well. Well, we arrived around 830am because we were delayed at the rail station trying to find a place to put our bags. We couldn't get inside the square because it was blocked off, so we stood behind a gate and waited for two hours ...
