The Big Day

First of all we would like to thank everyone who emailed or sent us cards and letters through the Danielle express. We thought of everyone yesterday and miss everyone but were very satisfied with our decision to have a small wedding. It drizzled just before the ceremony (a sign of good luck) but the weather was cooperative for the remainder of the day. We spent almost 3 ...

Excellent Villa

This villa is absolutely amazing with the nicest hosts you'll find. We pass by a few, and none of them were as nice. they even have access to a beautiful private beach in case you want to avoid the messiness of the other public ones. Definitely look up this spot if you ever travel into Amalfi. webcam girls webcam tube

Nice to be on the beach

... to get on – it’s funny to watch old people elbow their way onto a bus. We decided there wasn’t much point pushing our way through the crowd as it was a school day and there was another SITA bus coming right behind this one. We joked with the Victoria couple about Canadians being too polite and the next bus showed up half full so there was lots of room and no one had to stand. Another windy trip ...

A bit of a disappointment

... not the only ones disappointed. While we waited for another bus to return we chatted with the American couple and watched stray kittens and cats roam and play. How nice it would be to bring an italian kitty brother or sister home to our cats. J

Once back in AnaCapri, we decided to go on a chairlift to the highest peak in Capri. It was a great way to get good pictures and to catch a cold. Geez, the sun would go behind the clouds and you would be stuck ...

Felt a bit like Skagway

We woke up to a cloudy and rainy day. We had a great breakfast (fresh pastries, orange juice and cappuchino) at the hotel which was included in the cost of the room, which by the way was 60€ per night. This is a good rate for the Amalfi Coast and the distance didn't matter because there were buses and a shuttle. We decided to spend the day in Amalfi to wander and check out places that would be good for wedding photos. There were tons of shops with lemoncello, coral ...

Crazy Crazy...

... one day was in Naples. Another I spent in Ancient Roman Empire and whatever it was before. That is, I visited Pompeii and Paestrum - two sites off Naples that managed to preserve the history and delegate it to us.

Pompeii was actually burried under lava after Vesuveus unexpectedly (after 1200 years of being inactive) erupted in 89ad. Since the city just got covered, it stayed preserved untill uncovered in 18th(?) century. They actually have undug only a fifth part ...

El Fin

... I went back to Naples in search of pizza from the city credited with inventing it. This was not as easy as we expected it to be. We were walking around for what seemed like forever until we finally found a restaurant and it was worth the wait. The pizza was delicious! On our way, we passed another restaurant with freshly made donuts the size of a cantaloupe. Of course we found our way back and they ...

Who is that? The PRESIDENT! LOL

... much the same. The Italian grandmas on the train were very nice, helpful, pleasent and caring over my cough. They gave me an entire roll of GREAT cough candies that stop my cough instantly. So back to right now. I am about settle in for the night and am meeting tonnes of interesting people. Like a guy from Portugal that speaks Spanish with me who is a tattoo artist going to a convention on Monday, and a Girl from Brazil I speak ...

Naples

... dirty bustle. The atmosphere of the place wasn't necessarily dangerous, but definitely unnerving. We thought the traffic was a little chaotic and intimidating in Rome, but that was nothing compared to Naples. The first thing we did when we got to Naples was to buy a new camera. Our old camera took a tumble on top of the Castile D'Angelo near the Vatican in Rome, and while it was my fingers that it slipped from, I maintain that it jumped, having overheard that ...

just about ready...

... blushing enough for all of us. But honestly, it was amazing to see the work of art. The fact that his eyes intrigued me more than his, uh, well you know, says a lot. ;) As we walked throughout Florence, I felt that I had accomplished something great in my life. I dont know really what, to be honest. Maybe its the fact that Florence seemed so late in the syllabus, and the fact that I was still going strong 4 weeks in meant that I ...
