... Oviedo before completing the journey to Gijon. A long day! 230 Km, 3 hours

Gijon to Bilbao with drives through coastal villages Lastres, San Vicente del la Boquera (I got a Speeding Ticket!!), and Camillas. We then visited Santander before completing the journey to Bilbao Airport. A very long day - too long! I was glad to hand over the keys to the Hire Car. 340 Km, 5 hours

... beautiful courtyard, our first alfresco lunch of our trip and hopefully the first of many more, and then set off again to explore. We stopped at a couple of chateaus but didn't go in, you don't need to really, it's the outside that's the best bit. ... just some locals bundled up in thick jackets and browsing the shops. I enjoyed getting lost in the old town, every turn and corner are just another surprise.
