Very stylish building, & according to 'the one who knows everything' it's 3 mm thick but made from Titanium. As it's not full on tourist season Monday's are shut...frustrating but building impressive enough, & of course all quite peaceful.

Funny thing happened on the ship yesterday...listened to a talk on all the whales & seabirds we might see (not one did we spot,) whilst sipping G & T. Queued to ...

Today we went into Bilbao. After much give and take about what to do with our day here, we decided to dedicate the time to visit the Guggenheim Museum. This was the right call. ... This isn't a plug - they couldn't give a toss about a random 'travel' blog. But it's right next to the most important bus station, it's near the city centre, it's cheap and breakfast is included in the price. A nice, friendly atmosphere without being an unbearable party hostel, which make me want to stab myself in both eyelids. Stay here:

And it means you can hop straight on the bus to Logroņo from there, which is exactly what I did...

A beautiful day greeted us as we emerged in the morning from our hotel. Bright sunshine and a magnificent city to explore, what more could we ask for.
