... About 1.15pm we were driven towards Bilbao and the countryside changed dramatically the closer we came to it. This is Basque Country and they are in charge here.

This area has a history of the people defending what is there’s and they even have a “Terrorist Group” set up, which has caused Spanish authorities years of pain. Over 600 persons were killed until a truce was instituted and things are now quiet. The terrorist group ...

... on Sunday - lots of generations - grandfathers in Basque berets and teenagers dressed in shorts like Carly. Younger girls dressed in pretty dresses. We felt so welcome in the Kokken cafe as Sylvia brought us course after course until we declared ourselves done in. Scallops and fish and more seafood - all fresh and ..yum.

... had a KTM 990 but he was a bit funny and clearly didn’t want to appear friendly incase it undermined his position in the snarly hierarchy. I’m ashamed to say that all this group was composed of Brits. I have felt for some time that we are not as friendly or welcoming as we could be, we are described as reserved, I think it’s to do with being on an Island. At least I’ll put that excuse for poor manners forward.
