Day1 - 26/7/11
Well, we finally arrived in Las Vegas after flying from Fort Lauderdale via Chicago. Landed at around 6pm and arrived at the Jockey Club around 7pm. Very easy shuttle ride in from the airport. Monique and Liam took plenty of pictures as we drove in - Liam was really excited about being in Vegas and seeing all the sights. …
Day Twenty-one -- Las Vegas
Our last day/night were spent in Las Vegas visiting with our daughter's godparents, shopping, and seeing the Cirque du Soleil show "O". We hadn't expected them to come over to Vegas so it was a great surprise and perfect ending to our trip.
Vegas is way too hot for us at this time of year to do anything …
We arrived in vegas in awe at what we saw, after a pretty boring drive to it. The hotels looked out of this world, and we were looking forward to the week ahead with even more excitement now!
We were, thanks to Liz and Claire, staying in the jockey club apartments, sat right in between the Ballagio and Cosmopoliton Hotels. Two of the …
Who are we, but reflections of our inner selves? Our hopes, our fears, our beliefs, our doubts. All manifested in this nebulous void of thought and emotion - constantly churning, constantly swirling. A never ceasing engine of existence. The awareness and perception that colors our experiences. Sometimes it shows us the beauty of the simplest …
I did go on the roller coaster, it was good but kinda like the ultimate not in size but ride. Bad neck now lovely.
Found out what that castle thingy was it's a casino (shock horror) called excalibur. Went to pick up our tickets for cirque du soleil, grabbed a bite to eat and went home to get changed for a big night. :)

Historical Traveler Reviews Jockey Club Las Vegas
My family and I loved our stay at the Jockey Club resort in Las Vegas. The staff is wonderful and the rooms were very neat and clean. The rooms were also very spacious!! It was great for my husband and 2 young boys. We didn't feel cramped and we had our own space. You don't have to walk through a smoke filled casino to get to your rooms and the location is very ideal with a beautiful view of the dancing fountains of Belagio! I would recommed anyone to stay there!
Hated the Jockey Club!
I was totally disappointed in the Jockey Club. It's totally misrepresented in the Interval Book as a trade for timeshare, and it's a total rip-off saying it's next door to the Bellagio - you have to go through a dark dingy parking lot to get to the front door and there's no Bell Captain to help with luggage and cabs won't go in to pick up or drop off. The lobby is dingy with a concession as soon as you walk in with a sloppily clad, not shaved man running it. There was no security and worst of all the pool was 'postage-sized' with no shade, only a few chairs----I've stayed at better motels. I would never recommend it to anyone and I would never go back. I have already complained to Interval that they should not list this as a 5 star resort---it's a total fabrication.
These folks really take care of you
One night I was stuck in Las Vegas because my desired flight was overbooked. I called the Jockey Club, and explained my predicament. I took the Airport limo to the Jockey Club, they put me up for a few hours in a very, very clean, well appointed, comfortable room. I was able to get some badly needed shut eye and resume my journey again after that short nap and they didn't even charge me for the room!
Jockey Club was OK - just OK
We were a little disappointed in the Jockey Club, largely in two areas. The pool was undersized and over chlorinated. It was very difficult and time consuming to get a cab - once it took 30 minutes and that's way too much wasted time. The rooms are adequate and clean and the staff was excellent, but we couldn't get past those two big problems.
Love this place/must sell it
I love to stay at the Jockey club. I have a timeshare there, but would like to sell it. I think it has a great location being right on the strip to walk almost anywhere. I just need to sell this for money reasons right now. Hate to sell but luxurys go first. Email me.
Loved Jockey Club
Have stayed here twice at different times of year. Going again. Convenient, clean, comfortable. Greatest location and staff.
Never had a more comfortable stay.
I was so comfortable and the clean unit made my stay so relaxed. The location is ideal and the view was great. I would love to stay there each time I go to Las Vegas.
Loved Jockey club
We stayed at Jockey Club for our honeymoon in Las Vegas and had a wonderful stay there. No hassles, no worries, they took great care of their facilities and weren't getting in our business. I would reccommend it to anyone looking to stay on the strip, but not wantin the hassles of staying in larger casino hotels.
The Best Secret In Vegas
My parents have always stayed at the Jockey Club as I was growing up and I figured it was an 'old timers' place..So I was a little reluctant at first but when I first opened my door upon my first stay there I was completely comfortable, happy and satisfied with my choice. The Suites are very big, roomy and comfortable and even though there is no casino attached it has every other convenience you could want-and dont forget its right in the HEART of the strip...I love it !
Loved the jockey club
Have been here twice. This has to be the finest location in Las Vegas. Staff is excellent
