Last night we were primed for a day of BBQ only to discover that the festival started at 6pm. This gave us an unexpected extra day and Nadia's extensive research led us to believe the only option was some more outlet shopping. Everyone on contiki had a rather heavy night the night before so the long bus journey we had today was going to be interesting. I woke up hating life with a spinning head and feeling rather delicate. Had some brekky & felt better but still could have done with staying in bed. Then it was on the way to Charleston. We got there and picked up Lynda our tour guide. She got on our bus and we drove round Charleston & it's the prettiest place so far in America ...

The sights we've seen have been wonderful, but the excursions we get ourselves into along the rides are by far what is making this trip for me. On our way from Belhaven, NC to Greenville, NC we stopped in a field of wild flowers and took pictures on a rusty tractor ...
