... meat and many different crafts made from the horns, especially hair combs.

Jiuzhaigou is one of the premier tourist attractions in China, famous for her stunning natural scenery. On par with Yosemite and Yellowstone national parks in the US. As luck and planning would have it, I visited the park during the golden season - the best time of the year. Just one or two weeks earlier would have been absolutely ...

... it is recommanded to spend 2 days for the visit (unless you manage / are fine to start at 7:00 in the early morning until 18:00 (closing time) and to do it in a rush). After a short nap & a quick lunch, we took the bus inside the park (it is recommended to do so if you want to have a peek at the most famous places) ... after a few minutes only you already realise how special this place is. The lakes, waterfalls, little rivers etc. are AMAZING :) Hard to describe -> have ...

... The bus ride to Emei is not the best. The bus is old and rattly, but the air conditioner works. Its a 2 hour ride, and we are glad to get off. Now a short taxi ride gets us to our final destination, Teddy Bear Hotel.

Its a funky hotel with lots of charm. The rates are pretty good as well, $30 a night for a nice twin bed room. I can see noise being a problem. We go for a walk to whats around the hotel and to get info on Mount Emei.

... thing about Jiuzhaigou, it is not like American National parks, in that other that 1-3 platformed paths in an area, there were no other options for hiking. No backcountry, no dirt paths, & no camping, either. Around 1 PM we made it back to the split & decided to eat some luch. There were some buffets & ramen stores, but this was the only place in the park people could smoke, & all the smokers went under the covered areas for shade, right next to the food. The thick cloud of smoke ...
