... the numerous crowds did put me off a bit but hey. I enter the park with the same family again and they're so nice, they gave me a boiled egg for a snack, it was so cute and oriental that I actually join them for a bit, plus the fact that I was completely lost how this park worked. I was just expecting wide open spaces, valleys and rivers and just walking in whatever direction I fancied, but nope in China or at least this park everything has an order. You can only walk ...

... it is recommanded to spend 2 days for the visit (unless you manage / are fine to start at 7:00 in the early morning until 18:00 (closing time) and to do it in a rush). ... the last few. Some of the lakes were huge, some reflected the mountains and trees perfectly, some had totally clean transparent water so you could see the fish and the bottom of the lake perfectly and some had water so blue it didn't even look real. There were also lots of waterfalls, some very wide, some very high and some both. Unfortunately our photos don't really do it justice. We both seem to have had light problems as the day started off quite dark but the sun got really ...

THE most beautiful National Park in China

... along the way. This market town serves Tibetan, Qiang and Hui tribes. What a great rural Tibetan community - beautiful multi-coloured costumes are worn by these Tibetan ladies. On her advice, I took a hike up to the top of a surrounding mountain which gave me a bird's eye view of the area. The imposing gates at either end of the town date back thousands of years. It was a nice surprise and a great way of using my last day there before catching the plane at 5 ...
