It was definitely a day of catching up with sleep, we slept in till 11 and then had lunch at the hostel which was really nice. We had decided to climb a mountain this weekend so we agreed we would need a bigger bag, therefore our afternoon consisted of going up and down on the subway looking for a bag and Leigh enjoying the fact we were in shops like 'go outdoors' (he loves go outdoors). ... the local towns and they seem to be taking shape. That said, remains of broken bridges and even a car under a boulder at one point still act as a harrowing reminder. So, Jiuzhaigou.....there was SHEER CARNAGE just to buy a ticket to get in (even guys in military outfits couldn't control the Chinese masses!)! There were buses within the park so you could get to see it all because it was huge and first we headed up the right fork to check out a route of smaller lakes. ...

... the annoyance of a Chinese movie theater. I think the trick is to go in the middle of the week because I did not encounter a single problem in the movie theater I went to. I saw the movie Battleship and enjoyed every single second. I am not sure if I was just mesmerized by the big screen, since I haven't been to a movie in 3 months, or if it was actually an amazing movie, but it made me sooooo happy.
