... in the big Auditorium that's part of the highschool the stage had really nice lighting, some christmas decorations and a big banner.

Now, I thought the Junior high christmas concert was pretty well done. But then, afgerwards, I went to see what was going on for the highschool christmas concert... and OMG it was incredible. There was a runway and stage in the gym, with stage lighting, giant screens with digital effects, and multiple cameramen ...

... Maybe a store will be filled with multicoloured jackets with fake fur hoods, vests, and arm warmers. The stuff for older women is all red and purple felt blazers with big shoulder pads lots of embroidery or patches. And there will be rows and rows of fleece pajamas and spandex leggings. It seems like it will be cold here fairly soon.


Some of the shops might have prices marked. Most won't.

Frühs noch schnell Sachen fertig gepackt und dann Richtung Keyunzhan (Busbahnhof) losgetuckert. An der Toreinfahrt zu unserem Wohnblock stand auch schon ein Taxi parat. Das ist das Schöne an Yingkou: die Taxifahrer prügeln sich fast um einen. Nachdem ich dem Taxifahrer was von „Keyunzhan" vorgestammelt hatte (Hirn war etwas verschlafen) fuhr er mich schweigend zum Busbahnhof. Ich nehme mal an er dachte, ich verstehe nichts, ...
