    ... paper from the outside and throw it in a wastebasket beside the toilet. I cannot WAIT to get back to regular bathrooms in public places!! : ) We drove back from the airport and saw nothing but apartment buildings...EVERYWHERE. Our hotel was very nice, and we quickly dropped off our bags. Dinner was buffet with David and Terry. Terry and I joked about how piggy we looked with our dessert plates : ) : ) LOL : ). Fun and Tiring Day! ...

    ... of time to sort out some food (It was a point and hope job again) and a bus ticket before I was locked in for the night. Though this in itself presented a problem later on that I ended up having to resolve with an empty coke bottle. Luckily my power had been fixed whilst I was out, although the lights would only work when the fun was turned on. It wasn't the comfiest bed in the world but sleeping there was certainly an experience easily worth the stiff back in the morning.

    My first destination in real China was YongDing to look at the ancient Tulou houses of the Hakka people.

    It took my about 8 hours by train to get there, and as I was unfamiliar with the train system, I ended up with a "standing ticket," which is exactly what it sounds like. Standing. 8 hours.
