... where I counted 14 cops standing inside the contraption doing paperwork, talking to locals and making calls. The building had many different sections, everything was in Chinese, so I have no idea what for, but I am guessing the usual, visas, ids and so on.

Finally at 5pm I was free to leave. I was put on a bus whilst my agent boarded another bus. Apparently I was on my way back to Chengdu. My bus hit traffic 20minutes into the journey and we sat and sat and sat. ...

... saw many Buddhas (see photos). One of the great things we did was climb many steps up the the great buddha with all the locks on it. You can buy a lock and have your name inscribed on it, and lock it to the railing or somewhere for good luck. Kyle and I did this and put our lock close to the one that Barbara and Tom had put there on their visit last year. I would love to come back and try to find our lock someday.
