We were invited out with some of the staff on Tuesday night to Laowi Town to a quiz night which was good fun. We then met Silvie, the CP at Munchner Biergarten, the German bar on Wednesday and the Italian restaurant Thursday evenings.

Ningbo is a lovely city, built on 5 rivers, so was a trading post and from the hotel room you can watch the barges go up and down the river. There are loads of fantastic bars and restaurants and it is now quite trendy.

When I left on the 28th of January, I was lied to about my exit documents and repeatedly refused access to any documents in order for me to find employment anywhere else in China. They have tried to sabotage any attempt I ...

... sit by myself and cry for 5 hours. My host mother then told me that we were going on a trip to DongQian Lake. I had no idea what that was but was excited that we were finally going somewhere. When we got there, it was a mad house. There were SO many people there to celebrate the holiday. We walked around and I was amazed at how beautiful the scenery was. It was like nothing I’ve ever seen before. We walked a bit further and bought incense for prayer, or xiang as ...

... something is always lost in translation. Luckily, the uncle visits often and he can speak in English. The eight-year-old boy has started to take a liking to me. Being a nanny for a five- year- old boy for a year and a half, I know a lot about how to act like a little boy. Even though I flew halfway around the world, the basis of their thought processes is completely the same. He pretends to have a gun, I pretend to have a sword, we fight, someone dies, the end. Do it all ...
