We spent over an hour and a half yesterday looking for bus number 610, which was supposed to take us to The Big Wild Goose Pagoda...did it exist? We walked from one bus stop to another around this massive roundabout but could only find 609 / 611 / and every other number except 610. This lovely lady and her son walked us to bus number 26 (2¥=50cents) put your money in the slot...and ...

... They are everywhere. It might be a spot by a river, or something that looks like a restaurant but all you do there is drink tea. No alcohol, no food, just tea. I started by asking them downstairs in the hotel which side of the road I should grab a taxi from to go to the railway station but they pointed out that the subway station up the road goes to the railway station - too easy.

At such a high elevation , some trekkers need to stop every 10 minutes to catch their breathe before continuing the journey. The oxygen level here is rather thin. Do not rush to climb the steps as you will be short of breathe.
