    ... bus. Des isn't having it amd demands to see our bags moved onto the new bus, this goes on a few times until finally the guy gives in and let's des and Clíona move the bags themselves. We're happy to be leaving Hainan, it was nice to have some sun, the beachy, tropical feel but th email people are so ignorant and un cooperative. The night bus is interesting...three rows of double beds about 80 cm wide. We're down at the back and once we start moving it's lights off. ...

    ... attractions in Nanning include Guangxi Museum, People’s park (White Dragon Park) with the Zhenning Fort, Mount Qingxiu, Guangxi Medicinal Herb Botanical Garden, and Yangmei Ancient Town. I didn’t have much time to explore those places but when I went for my morning walk by the river (just nearby the youth hostel – Greenforest Hostel) I experienced something that touched the core of my being.

    ... just what you need after a 10 hour coach adventure. We bashered up in a cheapy hotel opposite the station and bought the first train ticket out of Nanning for Guilin the following morning.

    ... was being prepared. What a fantastic system and room he had, it was specifically designed as a home theatre room. An hour or so later we went up one level for great meal, some Chinese beer and NZ wine. It was funny watching them trying to figure out how to get into the wine with a corkscrew as it was a screw top. They had never seen it before.
