... yet, they are an illusion, a reflection of what someone wants other people to think they want, but will probably never get. Xi'an Airport is huge, amaybe the size of Stanstead in London, plus there is another terminal building under construction. Someone has big plans for this city and they are all based on a pit full of old clay soldiers and the fantasyland that is constructed around them. To me, it all appears to be nothing more than expensive magic - smoke and mirrors.

But apparently the older ones had amore blocky, but also kind of nicely streamlined look about it. ... and the young people showing off their skills on rollerblades and rollerskates. Rollerblading and skating is extremely popular here. Every city that I have been to has had young people skating around at night in the city squares. It would amusing to get my aggressive skates sent over and show the locals that handrails are not just for holding. The skating here is more figure skating style, not some as in jumping but rather with fancy foot work and dancing ...
