If you didn't know, I went bungee jumping on October 24th. It was amazing! It was at this gorgeous gorge (hahaha. I make myself laugh. I'm so punny!) that was like an adult playground or something. You could go hiking on the side of the cliff through these caves, and there's also a restaurant on the cliff side. After this brief Zoo visit we were supposed to be off to the
airport for a 3 pm flight but it got delayed so to fill in time we were taken
to the old city which was very crowded and fascinating. Plenty of street stalls
and vendors selling and trying to chase us for our money.
The plane was even further delayed so we had another visit
to see a grand Hall a magnificent structure in the middle of a peoples square.
... check the rating on it in Canadian standards but there were scenes that were sexually explicit, extreme violence, and profanity used every few words. The afternoon movie was only in Chinese, with no subtitles, and didn't seem remotely interesting as I watched a few minutes of it. ... is a very nice "small" city (ie only 3 million people in the metro area!), with plentiful good restaurants, parks, and local attractions. One highlight was a 10 pm foot reflexology massage with Jin's aunt and uncle - this was the real Chinese style, so they don't go easy on you!
Overall we had a really nice time in Jingmen and appreciated the break from our hectic travel schedule. I hope you like the photos!
... 65 km outside the city. We haggled a price, and off we went. Maybe there are tourist busses going up there usually, we couldn't tell. Still, the price seemed reasonable, as long as you don't feel like you're being scammed.
