... was vast and picturesque except for the dead fish floating here and there, it didn't entice us in for a swim... The wall was very big, in fact the longest city wall in the world at originally 33km and now 22km remain. As we walked along we got a good view of the lake and the dragon boats; tomorrow is the last day of the 3 day dragon boat festival in China. So we thanked her in our best Mandarin (thank you is all we can say!) and smiled at the English lessons they must get.
