... Studenten zu unternehmen. Außerdem ist unsere Vorlesungsreihe so gut angekommen, dass einige von uns in der letzten Woche nun auch noch ein weiteres Fach lehren werden.

Und dann beginnt nächsten Sonntag unsere letzte große Reise in China: Erst verbringen wir einige Tageam Strand der tropischen Insel Hainan, anschließend bereisen wir noch Hong Kong.

... of the park we walked to had an extensive number of trees planted. I don’t know what species of tree they were but they had low slung branches like an apple tree and were the height and planted density of apple orchards I have seen. The treed part of the park reminded me of the grounds we had seen at both the Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace, so I think that this represents a pretty standard form of traditional Chinese garden planting.

... she had picked out at the store. Mind you she had a Ritz in the other hand and a mouthful at the time, but I chanced it anyway (I was flying high, having already had two successes), and she took the food from me. Then I went for it again once the Ritz was gone and, yes, she took that too. Best yet, she ate the food!!

At our next opportunity we ordered more rice and watched the rest of the food boil away before us. When we were sure that things were cooked, we started pulling from the pot and tasting.
