        ... so I shouldn't admit it, but we went to McDonald's for lunch. We didn't have one of those in Shangqiu! I almost never have McDonald's when in Canada, but hamburger options in China are limited so it's a lot more appealing.         ... we managed to do some shopping and have lunch on the waterfront. Plenty of activity going on on the water with wind surfers, P-class yachts, leisure craft and Chinese junks, but nobody in the water swimming. Walked along the coast a bit to an old temple and up the hill a bit. Nice views. It would be nicer to live on this side of HK Island than the other as the hills are still covered in vegetation, there are walking trails on the hills, less highrise and it has nice ...

        ... for the week. We lounged by the pool and had a delicious fresh salad with grilled chicken and a pint of Carlesburg. I must have taken about 10 dips in the salt water pool to cool off during the afternoon, being sure not to expose my bald noggin for too long.
