On Monica's map, we were supposed to go walk along a canal to get to the place. However, we were got confused when we entered the alleys toward the canal. Despite not knowing where we were, we found a nice park with elderly people and birds in cages.

Well, all went smoothly from the hotel to the airport and the airport to the plane. I even got bumped up to first class along with three others to make it look like people had purchased these tickets. Unfortunately, literally as we lined up to take off on the runway a huge storm began. Flash flooding, roaring thunder and constant lightning; we are currently just waiting for it to hopefully pass soon, it's been almost an hour already, but I'm in no real rush, ...

Last day in Beijing

... shiny new buildings and skyscrapers.  By far the Great Wall was the best experience of the trip so far and we also really enjoyed our dinner at Haru.  Standing atop Jingshan Park overlooking the Forbidden City was amazing as well.  The negatives were mostly due to the rain and maybe the humidity and smog our first day there but other than that we very much enjoyed the trip to Beijing.  Now off to the other side of China and on to Dali and Lijiang, ...
