I traveled to Ningbo on Monday evening after the English Subject Panel had finished.

I met Will at breakfast in the Citic Hotel on Tuesday morning and we went out to Ningbo Foreign Language School, which is one of my centres. The school is built in an amazing location in the south-east of Ningbo, surrounded by mountains and with a beautiful lake on site.

The staff here are all lovely. I had only been to this centre once before with Liz and Mary ...

... we were out in nature, absolutely gorgeous
woods surrounding us with the old babbling brook gurgling aside us. Many people
were taking baths, washing up or just sitting in the cool shade with their feet

Who knows? I have enough to worry about, anyway. I finally caught the calligrapher in action. You know, the one that paints with water on the pavement. I stood and watched for a while. ...

    Trip to China

A travel blog entry by joaosilva on Apr 29, 2014

Travelled from Amsterdam to Hongkong on Cathay Pacific airlines. After a 4 hour stop over, boarded a Dragon air plane to Ningbo. This was a shorter 1:55 hour flight. The local driver was waiting in his Chinese VW car. We drove for 1 hour to the Ferry station. Then caught the ferry to Zhoushan Island. The trip car and passenger ferry took 30 minutes. After leaving the ferry, 20 mins later we arrive at the Jinwangjiao Hotel. ...

The medical college was nice enough to set up a trip to Yandang Mountain for all of us American students. Three of the Chinese students came with us too. The mountain is about an hour or so outside of Wenzhou and is a UNESCO site, so I really excited to see it after being ...
