As I'm writing we’re having yet another thunder and lightning storm with torrential rain. The weather forecast every day for the last 2 weeks has been the same; change of thunder showers. It hasn’t thundered every day but the reason for the forecasts is evident. The high temperatures and humidity are back and it’s now "stinking hot" – up to 40 with the humidity. Happy Victoria Day weekend! It finally sounds like spring has arrived: some warm weather, the ferry is open and the lobster season started – all good things! Albeit through the most ridiculous traffic jam I've ever seen, caused by 3 separate broken down trucks and an other large accident that brought the world to a stop. So back to the normal digs and a sensational Pad Thai and Spring Rolls as well as half of Mal's meal due to a small communication breakdown. And with that day 3 comes to an ...

... Suites) That had a cute little sign out front claiming HAPPY HOUR 4:00 to 8:00, so coincidently this is where we could be found from about 4:01 to roughly 8:01. A tough afternoon was endured with Corona in one hand, roasted peanuts in the other and a 60ft wide screen showing Replays of major golf tournaments played at Mission Hills... Total bliss!!! We topped of the night with a light snack and retired to our romantic hideaway. And that my good friends was day ...
