... After the last beach experience I didn't expect to swim, but it was so good I ended up in anyway, and very happy that I did.
On day 2 we went to a different area which was good for beach activities, but the beach itself wasn't nearly as nice. We did go out on a boat for a wee ride which was fun, but most people agreed we would rather have stayed at the first place and spent the time there.

Two of our group took a stumble and ended up flat on their backs due to the slippery conditions so we realised how lucky we had been the previous day! I would actually recommend the Longji Rice Terraces to anyone visiting rural China - the hike actually WAS worth the effort and I certainly felt good after the exercise (not enough prancing out here to keep fit!)
This week we went to Lost City Water Park and on the weekend we went camping on Hailing Island. We rented two tents and slept on the beach after staying up late and cooking on the open fire.

Oh and we also decided to share our last bag of chocolate buttons and what a stir it caused - suddenly, it seemed like everyone around us was opening bags and lunch boxes, bending over backwards to share food with us (shrink wrapped chicken feet was a favourite!).
