Two of our group took a stumble and ended up flat on their backs due to the slippery conditions so we realised how lucky we had been the previous day! I would actually recommend the Longji Rice Terraces to anyone visiting rural China - the hike actually WAS worth the effort and I certainly felt good after the exercise (not enough prancing out here to keep fit!)
This week we went to Lost City Water Park and on the weekend we went camping on Hailing Island. We rented two tents and slept on the beach after staying up late and cooking on the open fire.

-Not getting asked to always to help someone practice English (although I think it is good that they will try and improve their English any way possible)

However, due to being the only foreigners in about 14 carriages we gained celebrity status and soon attracted a crowd -smile a lot and say nice things about China.
