    ... in Chinese for 40 mins when we first left, and despite us asking for her to stop, she kept on and on! It ended up being quite funny looking back, but there was no translation, and when our local staff translated, we got a 1 min 'speech'. Guess it was part of her job, but apparently it wasn't very interesting for the locals either.


    Our apartments were gorgeous, all with sea views and glass-walled bathrooms, so a very successful trip all round - I had a great time!

    ... had opened and it didnt stop raining for the entire day!) Two of our group took a stumble and ended up flat on their backs due to the slippery conditions so we realised how lucky we had been the previous day! I would actually recommend the Longji Rice Terraces to anyone visiting rural China - the hike actually WAS worth the effort and I certainly felt good after the exercise (not enough prancing out here to keep fit!)

    This week we went to Lost City Water Park and on the weekend we went camping on Hailing Island. We rented two tents and slept on the beach after staying up late and cooking on the open fire.

    We took a tour that would take us camping on the beaches of Hailng Island. We thought it would be a good way to end our time here in China. We took a three hour bus ride to this beach, slept in tents, went to the market to eat breakfast, and then again back on the bus for another three hours. We really enjoyed the beach and the campfire.
