As we ascended we were able to stop at different temples and pass through various 'Gates of Heaven' which helped my legs recover a little and to get my breath back.     ... kids doing it really slowly with their parents. The old people all take the cable car. I don't think I have ever climbed so many stairs in my life.

    At the top, it's all worth it of course. You can look down at the tops of other REALLY TALL mountains and know that you are way higher than all of them! It's crazy. I don't know how I did that all in less than three hours.

    So I excitedly climbed into my barely padded bed with flat pillow and musty blanket and fell right asleep. Every couple hours however, my feet fell asleep or my bum got really cold from pushing up against the window. Your feet are encased in a metal box, because your bag has to sit on a rack on top of your feet (this is why my feet fell asleep a lot). So, I'd have to re-position myself and fall back asleep ...

    Sometimes i am so caught up with myself that i forgot that i feel blessed. It is rather truly amazing that on my age i can do these amazing trips that give me some much experience in life.
