... of insects. In fact he had spent three years studying butterflies, and now sits at a desk doing some tedious job of feeding information into a computer, totally unrelated to butterflies. What is also amazing is that because both these young men were excellent students, both received scholarships to study for their master’s, which means the government paid for them to do the extra three years of study. However, two Chinese friends in particular were going to help me circumnavigate the difficulties because they want me to teach. They know my style of teaching and want to work with me in setting up an English training school. I am immensely grateful for their faith in me and want to do my best to help them.

It seems I can't stay away but after a failed attempt to teach in Nepal, China seemed my best option again. My main reasons for coming back where firstly my experience of teaching in China and secondly the many friends and contacts I have here. I had tried to find work in other countries but without success and the thought of starting up somewhere where I knew no one was too daunting.
