Life's a Beach
... were only oppressive crowds on some buses and metros.
We coped well finding food we could recognise, and it was usually
not too hot and spicy.
Booking transport and hostels on the net was easy. All our accommodation has been very good to excellent, even at very cheap prices.

Enjoying in Ends of the Earth in Sanya, Hainan

Beach bum
... the sun-incompatible ipad. The day was topped off with a lovely cold weissbier. Not much to say except that today was perfect! No more writing as just a little heap of sun warmed mush here.... Oh and a couple of pics from a spa visit yesterday. Ok, so it wasn't all ...
Hainandao
... factory (clothing, cleaning products, underwear including dodgy red dragon emblazoned men's Y front complete with beads, ask no more..!), the knife factory, the date factory (as in fruit), the tea place and... memory fails me... Dinner included the famous Hainan chicken. Tasty! Finally we were dropped off at the Narada Spa hotel which miraculously was gorgeous. Huge airy room, hardwood furniture everywhere and an outdoor bath in a private terrace. ...
A week of sun, sand, swimming, scuba and alcohol
... that this wasn't his family restaurant. We were so confused! It wasn't even as if he got anything off us! So strange! We headed back to the surf bar and had some beers, we then went to a Chinese nightclub MJ, which was crazy. We were popular and everybody wanted to drink with us and we got invited to so many tables! What a night! Best of all - Free drinks for the Westerners! Love being treated like we are special!
