One of the reasons for this trip was to visit the Water Resources Institute of Jiangxi. A delegation came to visit the Toowoomba campus earlier this year, on the basis of trying to find a partner institute in Australia to work with. We met with Mr Wu who is the Director of the Institute and a full delegation of ...

It’s hot and humid here – taking a toll on the uniforms – shirts that you’d usually get 2 concerts out of on tour aren’t lasting the distance and we’re fully embracing the notion of the Chinese laundry.

There isn’t much to report on this evening’s concert – without sounding negative – it was a case of same gig different ...

    Three ancient villages

... I made a mental note to wash my hands well with soap before I ate lunch.

We wandered around the three villages and checked off all five sites that were included in my ticket, which included a small museum of farming implements, a couple mansions and a dismantled watch tower.

We drove back and made it just in time for me to catch a sleeper train home. Six hours later, it was raining in Changsha.
