    ... selling similar goods next to each other. This seems to be a common phenomena in Hong Kong: similar stores are clustered together. Out of these three, Bird market was the most interesting one. The many colourful birds and their songs were great to see!     I would say we had a good time and it was worth the experience. It was less weird than I thought it would be but also not somewhere I would want to hang around for a prolonged period of time. I bought a cat shaped tissue box cover though, so by no means a wasted experience.

    There were many different emotions we went through on approach to Hong Kong. First there was the fact that we'd just come off our fourth and last sleeper train of the tour :-) Then there was the fact that we were heading towards a place which was expected to be much more western, familiar, and generally manageable than mainland China had been. The signs "to Hong Kong" became more and more exciting the closer we got to the border...

    ... and Cantonese that "for passenger safety" the crew now needed to clear breakfast and NO-ONE was to use the toilets anywhere anymore. Ever again. Jawohl!
