A Weekend With The Family (Entry Number 2)

... During that weekend, we ate very well, there were a lot of fruits and nuts, and the meals Barry's parents cooked for us were plentiful. I also tasted the best 炒面 (Chao Mian, or fried noodles) I've ever had. When I thought the weekend couldn't get any better, we were served Chinese tea, and it was definitely the greatest tasting tea I've ever tasted.

I hope I will keep seeing and discovering new things to share with you,

Until next time !

... day, really warm and sunny.

We got back and had a lovely evening with Silvie at home as she had cooked a lovely Morroccan curry and couscous.

Very relaxing weekend!

We are both in Ningbo for the rest of the week visiting all three of our centres.

... Carmel, James and Emily (Economics, Business, English and English teachers) from Ningbo Zhenhai A Level centre plus John and a couple of Lithuanian female friends of theirs. We went to the Eudora Bar and then onto C for dancing. These were in Laouwai Town, which is the really buzzy area in Ningbo where there are lots of clubs and bars. We had a lovely evening, lots of fun, and good company.

In my first couple of weeks of being in China, I have met a great variety of people from all over the world. Upon my arrival at the airport, I was met by my new roommate, Patrick, and his Nepalese friend, Eric, who has been living in Ningbo for seven years now. Then, we met up with Charlie, who is from France and went off to a bar where a party was being held. There I met many Americans, Brits, Germans, Swedes, and of course, Chinese locals. It was a great way to be ...

... time travelling than I have actually in Ningbo but that'll all change soon enough. The following week I went to Korean Barbeque again, which as an all you can eat (and drink) for 64RMB (about 6.50) is always great fun, and it was followed by a long night of KTV with 30 people there - the initial group going for the Korean Barbeque had exploded and the whole evening turned into a massive party. Friday was a lovely hot day and we had another, much more ...
