    ... met a Chinese guy who spoke just enough English where we were able to get the message across of paying him once we were in the stadium and not in the parking lot. We settled on a 300 RMB per ticket, bought a few jerseys and happily made our way into the stadium.

    ... pages of free movies, so I chilled out for a few hours watching the TV. I asked about the movies at reception to check they were free, and they were adamant that there weren't movies, so maybe I just got lucky with a glitch in the system?     April 5 is Qingmen festival day, and a public holiday, so we had a rare Sunday off.

    I went across to Foshan with another NZ teacher who lives in NanGuoAoYuan (my complex) and we met up with David, who I taught with in Xi'an.

    ... and make way to KTV. Grouped with the usual subjects, Zac, Leon, Jon, Laura and I, hit KTV with a few Asian friends. The room was split with half foreigners and half local. We danced, we sang, we drank and we had a good time. Nothing out of the ordinary took place other than Zac making friends with one of the locale girls. This made for some good discussion later, but, as I’ve said, KTV this time was same, same, but different.

    ... look at fancy gadgets, dolls and sweets. A family came over and the kids shyly asked for their picture to be taken with us! A student of Cians spotted him and all embarrassed said hi! super cute.
