Man of the Jungle
Brilliant! Hire car day arrives! Freedom! We have a Proton (we think it is a Malaysian company) 1.5 manual Wira. It is **** in a good way - a unspectacular solid performer. Going up hills is a bit of a challenge; we have to drop gears until we get some traction. Our plan was to go to Kinabalu national park, then relax in Poring Hot springs, then …
New Adventure Begins
Arrived at Kota Kinabalu and checked into our hotel for the next 5 nights. Hotels looks like Harrods at Christmas. Lots of Christmas lights up and trees. We have had a little explore of the town, lots of big markets which we bought fruit at. We then walked along the sea and watched the sunrise. Early start tomorrow, up at 5am!

Nay wrote in the guest book and we headed down to the jetty. We had paid the bill last night 491Myr (£95) which was for Wine, Beer, Snorkeling gear and a couple of 'T' …

We were ready and waiting to be picked up by 7.25am and our man arrived at 7.30am on the dot, he …
Palau Sapi - KK - Day 3
We had a bit of lie in this morning well until 8.30am, I had the Malaysian curry Laksa for breakfast which was a huge bowl of noodles, chicken, prawns, boiled egg all in a spicy coconut milk, it sounds a bit full on for breakfast but tasted great. We headed first to the post office to post some cards we had been carrying since Sepilok then back to …
