Arrived at Kota Kinabalu and checked into our hotel for the next 5 nights. Hotels looks like Harrods at Christmas. Lots of Christmas lights up and trees. We have had a little explore of the town, lots of big markets which we bought fruit at. We then walked along the sea and watched the sunrise. Early start tomorrow, up at 5am!

We struggled out of bed, did the last bit of packing and went for breakfast, saw our first sunrise and ate Dahl and Roti bread and then couldn't resist the freshly made waffles. We had a bit of lie in this morning well until 8.30am, I had the Malaysian curry Laksa for breakfast which was a huge bowl of noodles, chicken, prawns, boiled egg all in a spicy coconut milk, it sounds a bit full on for breakfast but tasted great.
