... before leaving for the airport at 11pm for the flight to Melbourne. There were roadworks not far from the hotel and we were held up for over half an hour so we arrived later than we intended and got to the plane just as it was boarding. I spoke with a nice guy named Tom and I explained everything as best I could. He seemed confused as he looked through the computer, so he asked if he could put me on hold while he spoke with his ticketing supervisor to figure things out. I was on hold for about 15 minutes.
