... really tender. It was delicious!

On the second day of sunshine I went to the South of the island. There is a couple of waterfalls (nothing really impressive) and some lava formation. That was cool to see the columns of basalt. At some point an old man (ahjussi) took my camera and he made me pose. I first took a 'normal' pose and then he decided I should look more enthusiastic and mimed for me which pose I should take (see pictures). He made me laugh a lot.

Last weekend we went to a Trick Eye Museum (these are popular in Korea). It's basically a museum full of optical illusions that spin-off from well known artists and pieces. It's really stupid and dorky and totally up my alley. We had a blast there and filled up Greg's memory ...

Since I had to check out of the hotel by noon today I decided to have a relaxing morning and sort out the ferry to Jeju Island.

I packed up my gear and took the bike and panniers downstairs where the concierge had agreed to store it for me until it was time to ride to the ferry terminal. The desk clerk also checked on the ferry informaton and determined that the ferry would leave at 1900 and arrive at 0600 ...

... country and the Korean ferry will seem luxurious. Most people stretched out on the (very clean) floor and went to sleep. There was also the option of going up to the cafe to sit in a real seat or wandering around the boat. I never found it, but I even saw signs pointing to a norebang.

Somehow I managed to do a little sleeping myself. Although the hard floor wasn't particularly comfortable, I hadn't gotten a lot of sleep the past few days. It ...

... it? We then got some ice cream. I got the regular one not knowing there were two kinds on sale. The second more expensive one for 4500w ($4) was a fruit pulp ice cream, not sure what kind. It was then a short ferry ride back after an enjoyable afternoons excursion.
