Jeju island's specialty dish is black-pig pork called Dombegogi. It's served uncooked on a wooden cutting board and then the eater cooks it on a circular ********* gas grill in the middle of the table. I was skeptical of trying it at first but then I thought to myself,

... I found convenience stores grocery stores to stock my apartment.

Another happy circumstance was my discovery that the city hall (where I was to meet some friends for lunch) is on the same street as my apartment!

I have yet to explore beyond the boundaries of my one road, but my apartment’s looking good!

And yes, lunch fabulous. 3 of us turned up, and I ate a ginormous bowl of soup with mandu (korean dumplings) and rice ...

First we approached the Han River which disects the city. I saw Yeouido Island which is where the parliament building is and the famous 63 building which was Seouls first skyscraper. I then had a panaramo view of the river, yeouido island, the city and the mountains.
