... point in TN and the third highest east of the Mississippi. Unfortunately when we got up there we were in the clouds and could see very little. We did meet an interesting guy up there though. We got into Cherokee and wanted to stop somewhere. Due to the lack of other places we ended up at the Casino. We all lost some money (except Eddie) and drove back to our house for a late dinner. Lots of Pictures- Get a feel for the road. I took I 77 west to the tunnel which crossed into West Virginia and took SR-598 to Bluefield where you see the first great vista. 598 hits 19 s to Tazweil where Rt. 16 starts, "The Back of the Dragon". Wow what a ride. I followed 16 to Rt. 58 at the Log Cabin Store in the pictures. Rt. 58 was a surprise because I was expecting rolling curves and country riding ...

... looking at in the forest. We were hoping for a bear, but it turns out that it was a doe, grazing on something in an open area of the forest. Not wanting to be ‘that’ person, we kept driving, albeit at a slower pace. Cheryl quickly took pictures as we crept past and a couple of them actually turned out.

... another, one car was on the opposing street and the light changed for his direction. No other cars were around, except us, and it still took forever for our light to turn green. This would drive me nuts, that’s for sure.
