... to Murren, is actually made in two legs. We made a breathtaking and steep rise toward the cliffs, stopping in the small village of Gimmelwald . We immediately were shuttled off our car and onto another that went up at a slightly less precipitous angle. This deposited us in Murren. The ticket seller there said to just keep checking about the next two legs; we were hopeful, because the view at the top from the live camera was now clear. ... safe, but otherwise it was blissfully quiet except for cow-bells and passing trains. A local woman was strolling along picking wild mushrooms to take home, quite idyllic. As we strolled back down from Kleine Scheidegg, train after train chugged past us up towards the Jungfraujoch - and we decided that at SFr 250 a trip, the Swiss Railways are a licence to print money!

We arrived safely in Wilderswil and took the the train to Lauterbrunnen to take in the lovely views and enjoy a swiss hot chocolate, while we were there a local farmer was moving his stock, cow bells and all! In fact when you sit on the terrace of our hotel you can not only see the Jungfrau, you can also hear a constant tinkling of cow bells - nothing like the jangling of mooloo ...

... back to the Fun Park which had better snow and less busy than the Plateau. Joel found a shovel and he heaped fresh snow for us to mould. Never realised how hard it was too make a snowman! Fresh snow doesn’t stick well together, and we fought a losing battle. We settled for more of a pile of snow with a chunk of ice that I tried to shape into a sphere.
