... the Lauberhorn downhill run and off to Innerwengen. The people traffic on this trip was very high which made for difficulties picking the best time to run through some of the bottlenecks. Finally we reached Wengen and met up with JJ on the station and caught the train to Lauterbrunnen.

From Gimmelwald proper we walked the main street down to the cable car station and made the five minute swoosh down the hillside to Stechelberg, a popular landing site for local paragliders. At any one time you can look up, or out, into the sky and see tens of them floating through the canyons. From Stechelberg it was an easy 45 minute walk along the river back to Lauterbrunnen and a hearty supper.

... halfway to the top, a couple from Virginia told us that there is actually a lift in the cave that takes people up. Those Swiss think of everything! The falls themselves were very impressive – loud, powerful, and amazing to watch.

... guess that's what you get for 25 dollars an hour being the starting hourly wage. We grabbed lunch at a little French restaurant and each got a sandwich coke and fries to share for the bargain price of $16 each... It was sooo good though.
