... we would both love to have had more time to explore beyond this area to the real Sardinia. And, we agree, it would be horrendous here in peak season. Arrived back at the hotel around 4pm, sat around the pool for awhile, then off to dinner. Leaving Sardinia tomorrow for Corscia, cant wait, hope the weather holds! ... great seafood restaurant today - then to a lovely little beach for some relaxing and sun. I love that we have (so far) done three completely different things on this holiday. Lake Como was gorgeous - all beautiful BIG mountains, lakes, ferries and little villages, Tuscany, well, Tuscan, great food, picture postcard views, great wine, history..., and now Sardinia, different again, rugged mountains, beautiful azure blue ...

      ... about the locals.
Arrived in Santa Teresa di Gallura. Greated in half Italian and french by the 70 yearold lady who's father had started the hotel and restaurant in the town.
Went for a walk to the high points, the marina and the chiesa.
Got our bathers and walked to the beach. Refreshing, the water is so clear and azure blue.
Decided to have a few drinks in front of the hotel before ...
