    Great Location

In spite of terrible start the location could not have been better. Close to the Ramblas, the tour bus and good restaurants. Comfortable room, reasonable continental breakfast and friendly staff.

    Fabulous

    from

We were more than satisfied with the Hotel Jazz. The staff were friendly and efficient, the atmosphere was relaxed, the location perfect for our first visit to Barcelona. My only problem with the hotel was that I wanted to spend too much time there chatting with our friends near to the rooftop pool, when we should have been exploring the city. Can't wait to go back

    Excellent Staff

    from

I just stayed 8 nights at Hotel Jazz, where the accommodations were spacious, clean and attractive. The location was superb, on a noisy street, but the soundproof windows did the trick. Best of all, the staff was extremely professional - friendly, gracious and eager to make your stay as nice as possible. I highly recommend this hotel.

    Fantastic

    from

Hotel Jazz was fantastic and I am grateful to the first reviewers of this hotel which prompted my booking. The staff were extremely helpful and the rooms were terrific - very modern and clean. Great for a romantic trip with your loved one!! We requested a queen sized bed and ended up sleeping on the bigest matress I have ever come across! The location could not be better - right bang in central barcelona and easily accessible by bus from the airport. Hotel breakfast is a bit costly but there are some excellent cafes nearby. Would definately visit Hotel Jazz again - it is rated 3* but the accomodation far exceeds this! ENJOY

    Absolutely fantastic

    from

What a hotel, this has everything that you could want! Is very modern, with all the room facilities that you could ask for!

Its good for couples, went their with my boyfriend and we had a great time!

Was a bit nervous at first when we turned up to see that their was building work going on which looked like the hotel, but then realised that the hotel was round the side.

Got to the hotel and was allowed to check in straight away, rooms were cleaned every day and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

A roof top swimming pool with which you can see Barcelona.

I would deffinetly recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay their again if i had the chance!

    Terrible, bad experience!!!

    from

Terrible and unfriendly service. I made the reservation from the hotel website, when I got to the hotel they couldn't find my reservation, I had to wait half a day to get the room. And it took them 5 hours to get my luggage to my room. There is no service at this hotel!!! You couldn't ask for any service. And even worst, I paid cash for my room but when my credit card's bill came, they also charged me for the room!!! ( I have to put my credit card to guarantee the room when reserved the room) I still couldn't contact them to get my money back. Be careful!! Please think carefully before you choose this hotel. It was such a nightmare.

    Wonderful

    from

Very nice hotel with spacious rooms and a wonderful location. Certainly worth the very reasonable price.

Perfect hotel in a perfect location

    from

Hotel Jazz could easily be mistaken for one of the W Hotels because of its exquisitely minimalist interior design. Our standard-size room was quite large by European standards and we appreciated the towel warmer and other amenities. The location is superb. It is minutes from the metro station and La Ramblas and is abundant with great restaurants and cool clothing stores. The staff was friendly and efficient and very accommodating to monolingual Americans. My wife and I highly recommend this hotel.

    Loved Hotel Jazz

    from

Hotel Jazz was absolutely wonderful. The spanking new hotel has been open less than a year and it's a winner. The spotlessly clean, contemporary designed rooms are very comfy. Service was friendly and the free internet access in the restaurant area is a great idea. My family loved it. We would definately stay again.

    What a Hotel

    from

What a hotel the Jazz is.

At first had a bit of a panic as the commercial units underneath have not been finished yet and from first glances it looked at though the hotel had not been finished!

Had a little wait for our room but it was well worth it.

The rooms are fantastic - everything you needed, safe, mini bar, hairdryer, toilitries (including razors and toothbrushes!).

The bed was the biggest bed I have ever seen!

The continental breakfast was good too. Plenty to choose from - cheeses, meats, different pastries, poached/scrambled/boiled eggs, omlettes, the list was endless. Good service too.

The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating.

If you are thinking of booking this hotel, go for it - its great.

The location is fantastic too - near the Universitat metro station and a 2 minute walk from the Pl. de Catalunya where all buses and the main square is.

... and how to make cava (type of Spanish sparkling wine).

It was another really good full day. I think we'll be going to bed earlier today. Tomorrow we get to see Anthoni Guadi's Sagrada Familia - a cathedral that's been in the works for some 125 years already and still needs 25-30 years more to go (those are just estimates though). In the afternoon we'll board the boat so I'll have to figure out the wifi situation then.

    Enjoy the ...

I caught the bullet train to Barcelona – a city that was put on the map by the 1992 Olympics. On a side note, I still think it had the best ever flame lighting in modern Olympic history – I can still recall watching the flaming arrow fly into the cauldron. The weather was slightly cooler as Barcelona is on the coast so it made for pleasant exploring.

I visited the famous La Rambla Street, which is just a long street filled with tourist shops ...

Oh my dear.. we found Gaudi today.. and the rest of the modernista achitecture. So over the top. Can't say it's good taste. but its really out there stuff.

Mastered the metro again today a couple of times - even changed lines.

After we left the Sagrada Samilia we sauntered down the Passieg De Gracia. Obviously the trendy street with ...
