... we will take a cruise around some of the islands surrounding Korcula Island.

Observations

Korcula Town is a small, but lovely town with an ancient “old town.” Lots of stone buildings and narrow alleys atop the highest point in town. Again, people are VERY friendly. Not as many tourists here – and no huge cruise ships docking.

We arrived in time to queue for our tickets for the catamaran journey to Polace on the island of Mljet. After a very smooth and pleasant 1.5 hours we passed through Sorbra and on to Polace. After the crowds and pace ...

... climb a wooden ladder being careful not to flash the customers waiting to ascend below you. The small area was packed but we managed to find a seat. Among all the Australian and Kiwi accents that had come off the boats you would have thought we were in the Southern Hemisphere. A couple of cocktails later and a few amazing photos of the sunset we descended down the ladder. After a look around the shops and a few little purchases we met back at the boat to head off to our dinner booking ...
