... we will take a cruise around some of the islands surrounding Korcula Island.


Korcula Town is a small, but lovely town with an ancient “old town.” Lots of stone buildings and narrow alleys atop the highest point in town. Again, people are VERY friendly. Not as many tourists here – and no huge cruise ships docking.

Reporting in: a low steps day – only 6,500 and 2.76 ...

Our last croissants and tea on the terrace before our taxi ride to the ferry. Hard to believe a town of 30,000 could have major traffic jams, but with some road widths determined centuries ago, it happens; as it did today. ... climb a wooden ladder being careful not to flash the customers waiting to ascend below you. The small area was packed but we managed to find a seat. Among all the Australian and Kiwi accents that had come off the boats you would have thought we were in the Southern Hemisphere.
