Good location for stopover. On site parking, just 5 kms from Lleida. You need a car because you are rural here. A little hard to find. GPS does not register address. Friendly manager.

Spanish country side and unlimited access to fruit trees. It was an exciting day as we cycled through many regions and came across a variety of fruit trees. We sampled fresh figs, grapes, pomegranates, almonds, apples, blackberries, and pears! The adventure all began when I thought I had come across a wild olive tree and it turned out to be grapes. ...

2nd challenge, Getting onto the Freeway. After the parking lot incident, I was too nervous to drive on the main street, so I decided to stay in the alley way alone the main street to avoid blocking traffic big time. I think it would only take me about 15 minutes on the ...

... northern route, instead of the major southern route, to head towards Pamplona. We were now in the Pyrenees region. We arrived in Jaca around 6:30 pm for a break spent about half an hour walking around the central part of the town. We drove about 480 km in total and got into Puente de Reina at 8:45 pm. I had booked 3 nights at a small hotel called El Cerco within the medieval town. The host, Alfonso, was very helpful and explained how to ...

... much to do was made about different moves and plays being made. I think they were having fun!! It was fun for us watching.
We certainly enjoyed the day and the trip, despite the heat. It was worth it for the scenery alone. You can go by road if you are not a train buff, but the driver would miss the views.
Back to our last morning....before we went to the museum we happened upon an interesting tradition. A lady explained: ...

... water, red bull, fake powerade and San Miguel. It's about the best decision I've ever made as there wasn't a shop in sight when I got here, and they wouldn't have been open anyway if there had been. It's amazing what some proper food (there's only so much haribo, cereal bar and grapes you can eat) and an extra bit of drink can do. Also impending darkness certainly helps the climbing legs! I only saw one temp reading during the day, it ...
