Sadly when we checked the weather forecast for our well researched trip through the Spanish side of the Pyrenees it predicted very low temperatures and SNOW. Well the low temperatures didn't worry us but …
... did not have to make use of the taxi as we were able to get on the shuttle form Camping Barcelona. Within a hour mauritz's stuff was unpacked and we hit the road to Figueres. The GPS lady took us through all the narrow and small roads. In Figueres we we were going around in circles through very narrow streets - once again- looking for a parking spot. No problems with immigration entering Spain, getting bags, or hiring rental car. Or, really, for that matter anything. We had quite a bit of daylight for our drive to the hotel in Lleida, although it was about two hours away. The sun set like a glowing orange disk – because of all the particulates in the air, it’s brightness was so subdued you could look at it albeit briefly. ... n but many speak both languages at home, and all were bilingual, which made my placement quite unique. Luckily, classes were still taught in Castellano (Spanish) so I was able to understand what was going on.

This was really useful and again, gave me the opportunity to see other stone fruit businesses who Sainsbury’s are working with. I particularly enjoyed visiting a cherry packer and although they had just finished for the season it was good to see the orchards etc.

How has this hotel rated in the past?
Good location for stopover. On site parking, just 5 kms from Lleida. You need a car because you are rural here. A little hard to find. GPS does not register address. Friendly manager.
