... you've seen it. We decided to take a break in the park to look up on the tower and soak it all in. The gypsies were everywhere & now that we knew how to spot them it was getting pretty uncomfortable A couple sitting next to us got rolled and their phone stolen right under our noses. We decided it was not a great place to hang around and walked up to Concorde to take some photos looking back ...
... now and feel so fortunate that all has gone with only minor setbacks on a couple of occassions.

The Travelling viddleberries
First, our trip is going well so far. We have been in Paris now for three days now and will be leaving on Tuesday to Spain.
The general feeling however among all of us and, quite a few fellow Americans we met at different tourist landmarks, is that Paris is so-so. Not as nice and clean, the metro stations and the streets are littered with cigarette butts, people who work at trains stations, or at the information booths ...
... society. Everyone says pardon or éxcusez-moi as they pass or accidentally bump you and there is always a greeting, please and thank you. And they would never presume to address you by your first name if you are a stranger. It’s nice.
