... hour...all it did was sparkle for a few minutes. Caught the metro back to Champs Élysées where all the action for New Year is supposed to be...they had closed off the top end with people milling around. By 9.30pm Cindy & I decided to head home...nothing was happening. Happy New Year!! Mark Slept in a little before heading off to the laundromat... In all the major tourist attractions there are signs to say beware of pick pockets and there are people coming up to you either at the train station or at the attractions trying to sell you stuff or trying to 'help' you with directions!

A better day on the feet though we saw so much that we can return to ...

Today was the first full day in Paris. Busy, busy, busy. People going everywhere, motorcycles, small cars, bikes, and loads of busses. We did something different than London and bought 3 day pass for hop on hop off instead of cab rides. The areas that we want to visit are further apart than in London so this will work out better.

We rode three of the four routes and listened to the ...

With our first night of kids in bed before 10pm and with Emerson now measured as too short for the Velib, I agreed with Max last night that whatever time he wakes up, he can wake me and we'll try to get some bikes and go for a Sunday morning ride around the city. 5:30 he woke up and came bounding into our room with no qualms about crushing my Sunday morning sleep :) It took awhile to get going, but we were out the door by 6:30 and off hunting down a station.
