After our 2 day sail we pull into Portamao and decide to drop anchor rather than go into the marina as it was a lovely big bay by the beach and a lovely afternoon. Just what we needed after 2 long days at sea. The sunset was beautiful and a cosy night in board before getting up at 3 to head onto Sines on the west coast of ...

Beach not so calm today... Wind from Spain apparently.... Said with derision and blame !!!! Like it's their fault!!!! Still blue ...

As we headed south there were lots barren dry lands....bit like Australia actually. Almost expected the odd Kangaroo to appear. Very little grown it was so dry ... Then we went further and lots olive orchards, orange trees, and some animal farms. A very quick trip along the motorway .... Great roads and easy to get somewhere fast. Listening ...

... and we suspect that as we continue to go further south, temperatures will increase further. We enjoy an amble through Lisbon and stumble across the Rua Augusta Arch, where we spend a few minutes taking selfies, wandering the streets and enjoying the fantastic views. As we head back towards the bikes, we decide Jonny must look slightly dodgy as we are offered drugs no less than three times in under 5 minutes! There are police everywhere – even one in each shop to ...
