    ... saw loads of fish, big ones and small. A fisher mans paradise. Several of them looked like the sea bass that had come whole on the dinner plates the night before!!     So about 4 weeks into our holiday now and we enter Portugal.

    The first thing that we encounter as we drive across the Algarve is the tolls, not just one, but in the 1 hour of entering Portugal we crossed about 10.

    We find our apartment and it is like a resort with hundreds of units, but it again it is like a ghost town and we feel like we are the only ones here.

    ... people are very friendly and optimistic and living in the present. There is sense that things are getting a little bit better. It certainly makes us feel very fortunate to live in Canada as we heard similar stories while we were in Spain.
