... went around the whole island (which island we don't remember) - kayaking in the mangroves, was super cool...but we all learned that kayaking 100% leads to fights - note: we did not see elephants on the island...the boat guy JoJo swears it is not an urban legend (he saw footprints once) - deserted beaches, all to ourselves, every time - swimming through millions of jellyfish (only mike enjoyed this...for the rest of us the jellies were the Worst & caused like ...

I wake again to the most amazing sunrise ..AGAIN !! From my bed on the deck ...way better than sharing with the beautiful Linda and being squeezie !! And so cool to wake during the night to the stars Early start 6 am and engines on ...and we are all excited to be ready for next adventures ... I'm heading back to Khao Lak as the beach is so good there and quiet for a thai beach ...

... found the joint I could have cried, luckily we were down trodden but we didn't actually crack. We tried to dry out and found a nice little Mamma style shack for dinner and at least made the evening comfortable.

Trying to get out of Koh Lak was just as bad, we waited four hours and watched as buses refused to stop. Its hard work trying the independent route in Thailand, your much better off with the organised mini buses. When we did finally get a bus and get out ...

... the waves sound like they are about to crash through the walls all night even when the sea looks like a millpond. It takes a bit of getting used to.

To access the internet we have three choices. One is Cashew Resort where our friend from the bus was staying. Their internet was so slow I couldn't even access my emails. They charge 40 baht for 30 minutes. Next stop was Koh Chang Resort. The staff here are not very friendly ...

... toss my breakfast. I quickly drank some water, rested my head against the seat in front me, invoked a calming mantra, and held on for dear life.

Fortuitously, we finished climbing at the point of no return for me. The road leveled out, we began a gradual decent to Ranong, and I was able to slightly regain my composure.

As we entered into the outskirts of Ranong, we noted how truly ugly Thai towns can be. A wall of non-descript concrete ...
