Masada . . . one of those places I had heard about but the words are nothing compared to vastness of being the there.
As we were driving, there were all these beautiful mesas . . reminded me of Arizona / New Mexico. It was just so powerful however, I couldn't see anything but rock. Like a pair of binoculars that has to be dialed in, slowly, slowly I began to see

As such, this first drive to Madaba was a bit stop-and-go, with us repeatedly coming up on speedbumps in the dark and then hoping we wouldn't bottom out while crossing them.

... in the 20-25 shekel range for an adult. For those planning to visit a number of reserves, there are cheaper passes for six visits or unlimited visits. A word of warning. Either we were not informed about reduced cost child passes or they don't exist. As there are cheaper entrance fees for children, the bargain for an adult is not so much of a bargain for a child and may even work out more expensive for the six visits pass.
