April 21, 2014 Chas picked me up, and drove me to REI - to get my water filter replaced. We hit up the grocery store for my resupply, and headed to the house. Thursday 17/Friday18 April, After 3 days of complete rest, I decided to test the ankles/legs....by doing a 52 mile nonstop hike, with my pack. I left at 11:30 on Thursday the 17th. First 16 miles went by quick, stopped at the shelters along the way to talk and eat - as usual. When evening came, I ate dinner, said see ya to the crew, and started on the rest of the 36 miles.
