9:00 am.......59 degrees......68059........foggy when we got up. gas at Tifton.......35.95 on visa. Potty, coffee and cinnamelts at Alachua, FL.....2.49 cash. ... but it took 4 1/2hrs. - traffic was crawling south of Atlanta -- volumes of Christmas shoppers / transients?? Got to campground in dark - nobody around and very few campers either / pouring rain (but warm ~60')...never fun checking in after hours in the dark ...but managed on finding the tenting sites ( no I don't pitch one!!)...and used the washrooms -- then "in for the night" -- because the weather alerts were warning of heavy rain/ winds -- possible hail/tornadoes ( ...

... on Davis - neither of these 2 Union Troops knew of the other and unfortunately after trading "friendly fire" two soldiers from Michigan were shot and killed and one from Wisconsin.
