WE WERE SO LOOKING FORWARD TO OUR STAY AT
THE HOLIDAY INN IN DECATUR...JUST A QUICK STAY.

... The first few miles of Wheeler Lake were breath taking, with high bluffs and good color on the fall foliage. Early on, we passed this particularly stunning wall called Painted Bluff due to its brown and yellow rock. It was about 350 feet high and one of the highest bluffs on the entire river system. We had another 6 hours to go before getting to our campsite near New Orleans. When we arrived it was about 7 pm. We set up camp, Hugh and Matt played on the play structure and explored while I fixed dinner.
All in all it was a good day, long drive but we made it.
