    Took a shower, jumped off fellow travelers with a dead battery, and drove. Gas in Independence, MO. Saw a police chase that ended in a crash. Looked it up online later and saw pictures. Ate at Steak n Shake (terrible service made our stop an hour and a half) in Wentzville, MO. Got gas. Gas in Marston, MO. (See how we are never leaving Missouri?) Lucas complained about the gas mileage. He says he got better in the mountains rather than fighting ...

    ... starting with Troop in 1937. On the way back to the highway, we found a dead coyote with a red ribbon strapped to a fence housing cattle. So we are assuming this is a scare tactic for other coyotes. Whatever the reason, we were amused.

    ... knew where it was and that it would be in Dallas tomorrow; so, at least it’s not really lost. Hopefully, it’ll make it to the house by the middle of next week. Everything else went off perfect, and we rolled up back in Mynot about 10p. As promised here’s the most memorable moments from the last half of our trip.

    Friday was the start of the reunion activities. 25 classmates and spouses from the Class of '63 gathered at the home of Forrest and Jacque Behrens for a day of dining and lots of conversation and stories of the days of old and present.
